At the Pool

One day we went to a pool for the afternoon.  Both boys had a great time in the pool.  Eamon is becoming quite the fish.

A few weeks ago, a friend invited us to go swimming at her mom's pool.  This was the first time Eamon had been in a pool this year.  I put him in the life jacket and got in with him and Brady (Ed was at the fire station).  Eamon was attached to me.  He would not let go.  A friend tried to get him away, but no luck.  We got out of the pool for pizza and then Eamon didn't want to get back in.  He was just walking near the pool.  I told him that he had to put his floaties on if he was going to be near the pool, and he did.  About 30 minutes later I saw him climbing up the stairs on the slide.  He went down the slide and instantly he wasn't scared anymore.  He spent the rest of the evening going down the slide or jumping from the side.
So when we went to the pool while at the beach I knew Eamon would have a great time.  And he did.  He spent the entire time jumping into the pool and swimming back to the side.

Next step - swimming lessons.
Brady had a great time in the water.  He was kicking his feet in joy when we got in.
He liked to splash with his hands too.

Jacob decided to sleep through the pool experience.
