Sick Baby

The Friday before Christmas we noticed Eamon wasn't feeling well, so we took him into the Dr. Sure enough, he had another ear infection, which makes #3, so we started him on some antibiotics. Usually he starts feeling better a few days after we start the antibiotic, but he never seemed to get better. Christmas Eve & Christmas Day he had a fever and just hasn't been acting like himself. So after him waking up screaming last night and not wanting to go back to sleep, I called the Dr. Mom took him in this morning and sure enough, an ear infection. We aren't sure if it is a new one, or the same one from a few weeks ago. I'm betting it's the same one. So he starts a new antibiotic today and hopefully it will take care of this infection. We go back to the Dr in a few weeks for Eamon's 12 month check-up, so he'll look at his ears then and I guess we'll talk about tubes.

Christmas Day Continued

After seeing what Santa brought, Daddy went back to bed and Eamon talked to his singing snowmen friends.
Then he threw them on the floor, like always. It's not that he doesn't like them, he actually really enjoys them, he just likes things on the floor. When he walks up to the snowmen he starts dancing and waits for you to press the button.

We woke Daddy up around 8 so he could put the turkey in the oven.

Eamon explored his firetruck some more. Here he is ringing the bell.

When Uncle Ely got there, Eamon decided to tear the bows off of the packages and walk around the room shaking them. (By the way, MamaMarie made this outfit)
Eamon took a nap and slept through dinner. When he woke up it was time to open presents.

Eamon sat on Papa Lee's lap while Papa opened a present from Eamon.

Eamon is eating the wooden banana that Aunt Jen got him.

Daddy opening a present for Eamon from Aunt Trisha. It's the book "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" and it comes with a pigeon that says "Let me drive the bus."

Uncle Ely checking out his marshmallow gun.

Uncle Ely, Nick & Daddy all got Marshmallow guns. I bought the Publix cheapo marshmallows and they stuck together and stuck inside the gun, so they really didn't get to play with them too much.

Nick, You're pointing the gun the wrong way!

Eamon really enjoyed playing with the box that the pralines came in.

Here he is holding the box while sitting on Aunt Jen's lap.

Eamon walking around with his new wooden racecar.

Me with my flip flop slippers that Nick gave me.

Eamon and Daddy checking out the present that Aunt Jen got for Eamon.
That's right, it's one of those inflatable bouncy things, I think some of you may refer to them as "Whopper Hoppers" but you mainly see them in the form of castles at picnics and birthday parties. Now Eamon has his very own mini one.
Nick playing in Eamon's bouncy thing.
Eamon peeking his head out.

When we came back inside from checking out Eamon's bouncy thing, Uncle Ely was setting up the new Trivial Persuit game and he was wearing Eamon's bath robe.
After a diaper blow-out, Daddy changed Eamon into this Fireman Costume and he rode on his firetruck. Eamon played around while the rest of us played Trivial Persuit. The boys won. Then we played Buzz Word and they won that too. Oh well, maybe next time.
Eamon had another wardrobe change because the fireman costume is still a little too big. He enjoyed playing in the boxes with Papa Lee.
One more wardrobe change, into jammies. Here Eamon is playing with his new wooden firetruck.

Christmas Morning

We spent Christmas at home this year.
Eamon was so excited that Santa came, he woke up at 5:00.

He wasn't too sure at first what was going on.

We played with his new Alphabet Pal for a couple of minutes, but he kept eyeying his new firetruck.
He soon got on and started to ride.
And he's been in love ever since.

Splish Splash, Eamon's Taking a Bath

Banged up Baby

Here are some pictures of Eamon I took this morning. Over his left eyebrow (I know you can't see his eyebrows, so just pretend) there is a mark healing from when he fell into mom's side table last Thursday. The mark on his chin is from when Daddy accidentally bumped Eamon into a shelf in the kitchen Monday night. And the bruised swolen bottom lip is from Eamon falling on the window sill in his room. That one bled a good bit and there was lots of screaming. I wiped away the green snot coming out of his nose before taking the picture (I have a call into the Dr about that). Eamon's had a pretty rough week, but he's a tough little guy.

McWane Center

A few weeks ago, Ed took Eamon to McWane Science Center. There is an area in there called "Just Mice Size" for little ones. Eamon had so much fun that we decided to go ahead and get a membership. Here are some pictures of Eamon at McWane Center.

Trip to Atlanta

Eamon rode on Daddy's back while we were walking to the Atlanta Christmas Parade.

Playing in Aunt Christine's backyard. Eamon enjoyed watching his cousin's, Ethan and Cole, play.

Eamon thought he would do a little reorganizing of Aunt Christine's kitchen towels.

After he pulled them all out of the cabinet, he would pick one up at a time and then drop it as if he was looking for something.

Church Group

About two years ago, Ed and I decided to join a Young Families group at church. I am so glad that we decided to do that. We have made some great friends. As you can see, since then out group had grown great a bit (see all the babies). This group of people have made our transition into parenthood much easier. If any of you are reading this, thanks for all your support and being there for us! We are blessed to have all of you in our lives.

We had a Christmas party last week and here's all who attended. There are several more families that participate in our monthly events, but this is our usual bible study group. You should see all the little ones when everyone is there. Eamon is quite the studmuffin in this group. Everyone seems to be having girls.

Eamon at 10 1/2 months

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, actually the day after we got our new camera. Sorry it's been a while since the last post, but I had a bunch of projects to finish. For those of you that don't know, I'm working on a Masters Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I'm only taking two classes a semster and probably won't graduate until Spring of 2011. I have a few weeks off and will start back up again in January. Now for some pictures of Eamon.

Eamon Clapping his hands while swinging - what talent!!

Eamon falling while trying to remove his adorable hat!

TOUCHDOWN!
(Really - he does this when you say Touchdown!)
Not that he actually got to do it while watching an Auburn game!
Look for more to come this week...

Jammy Time!

We got a new camera last weekend, so be on the lookout for more blog posts (if I can find the time). Here are some pictures we took last night. After dinner and bathtime, it's Jammy Time! Eamon really enjoys playing in his crib - as long as you are in the room with him. If you leave him there, he isn't too happy about that.

I'm not sure what this face is about.

Here he is making noise with his mouth and running his hand over his mouth to make the noise change. Daddy taught him to do this, Eamon' hasn't quite figured out how to use just his fingers, but his entire hand seems to do the trick! I don't know what it's called, but you all get what I'm talking about, right?
Aye Aye Sir!

Daddy and Eamonm have a game where Daddy pulls Eamon around the room on a blanket. It's really funny, Ed will lay the blanket on the floor and Eamon will get on it and lay down.
This time Mommy was trying to join in on the fun.
We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!
