Rocket Ship

Eamon has been wearing Pull-Ups for a few months now.  He seems to do pretty good at school, but home is a whole other story.

Eamon is very insistent in his ways.  He knows what he wants and rarely settles for something different.  For example...he always wants the Pull-Ups with a Rocket Ship on them.  As you can see, the rocketship is the small design that's in the circle that is supposed to disappear when they pee.  Well, in one bag of daytime Pull-Ups only about 1/3 of the Pull-Ups have a Rocket Ship.  In the bag of nighttime pullups there are NO rocket ships.  Ed had the brilliant idea to use a marker to draw the rocketship over the star.  Eamon will now wear them.  Nice drawing Ed!  Now to draw Rocket Ships on the rest of the Pull-Ups.
And if you are wondering what happens if we put a non Rocket-Ship Pull Up on Eamon - He usually cries, pulls it off, says NO and "Rocket Ship".  Sometimes if he isn't paying attention I can slip a non-rocket ship design on him if I get his pants on really quick!

I have to remember, toddlers like the same things, this is just part of being 2.

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend.  We started out Saturday with a BBQ and Birthday Parties at my parents house.  We set up the baby pool on the deck for Eamon.  He is a little big for this pool, but thoroughly enjoyed playing in it.

Eamon decided he was staying at Marie & Papas house Saturday night.  Ed worked on Sunday, so I picked Eamon up Sunday morning to head to Auntie Rae's house in Huntsville.  Eamon had a great time there playing with his friends.

I brought out a bowl of strawberries and Eamon picked it up and was trying to keep it away from the girls.  We told him he had to share.  He then put the bowl down where everyone could get it, but then started shoving handfuls of strawberries in his mouth.  Those kids devoured the strawberries in less than 5 minutes.  I had to go cut them more.

I really love the picture below.

Then we broke out the water balloons.  Allison and I filled them up for a while and then Clarence took a turn.  The kids really enjoyed throwing the balloons at the grown ups and each other.

Then it was bike riding time.

Fun filled weekend

One Saturday in June, Eamon had 2 Birthday Parties to attend.  The first was at Pump it Up.  He really enjoyed himself, although he wouldn't go down the big slide.  He went down a big slide at the church picnic, but wouldn't go down at the Alabaster City Fest.  He looked at the slide and said "hot."  So I wonder if the one at Cityfest was really hot.

He did like riding in the Cozy Coupe car.

Here he is dancing.

Coming back down the slide stairs.
The second party was at a park.  Eamon enjoyed swinging and riding the scooter.

Fun at the Zoo

Last weekend we met the Spechts at the Zoo.  As soon as Eamon saw their car pull up he started yelling for Rowan. Here they are looking at the turtles.

Ashley feeding the Lorikeets.   Eamon wouldn't go in the cage with them.
We finally made it to the Children's water play area.  The boys had a good time.
