He's a Soul Man

I have been shocked a few times recently at how comfortable Eamon is talking to God.

A few weeks ago at my moms house, I heard Eamon shout

HEY GOD, I'M AT MARIE'S HOUSE, THIS IS EAMON.

Ed and Eamon were playing soccer outside this weekend and Eamon stopped, knelt down and said

God, I Love You!

and later he layed in the grass looking at the sky and said

God, I Love You.  Thank you for my kitties.

Thank you little man, for inspiring me!  You make me so proud.

Soccer Jamboree

Eamon's Soccer Jamboree was this Monday night.
While it was a bit disorganized, Eamon had a great time.
It was quite entertaining for the adults.

We are looking forward to his first game.

Soccer Mom

Eamon starts soccer tonight, so I guess that makes me a soccer mom now.

Eamon is SO excited about soccer.
He now has all of his gear and he likes to put it all on and go outside and kick around the ball.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Last Saturday we met up with the Spechts, Jennie and Kristi downtown to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade.  I think there were more people in the parade than there were watching the parade.
The boys really enjoyed it.

Eamon didn't want to wear the beads, he gave them all to Rowan

We are not too sure what this is.

Someone decided it might be a ghost, because it was followed by this...

Eamonisms

This morning Eamon & Brady were laying in bed with Daddy, Eamon says "Eamon: Mommy, Brady pull my hair.  That not nice.  He go to time out."

The other night at dinner I was trying to get Eamon to finish eating his green beans before he could have his lollipop.  I asked him to eat just 4 more.  After he ate about 8 (he can't really count), he looked at me and said "Does that make you happy?"  I tried to contain my laughter!

We went to a parade last weekend.  I asked him on the way what he thought was going to be in the parade, his response: "firetruck, police car, marching band, elephant, camamel (camel)

Saving Money

I've been shopping at CVS for a while now.  I thought I would share my savings today.

How much do you think I spent on the following items?
First, the total was...$95.15.

I paid out of pocket $18.05 and saved $77.10.

That is an 81% savings.

Ethel is 99 Today

Ethel is one of the most amazing people I know.  She turns 99 today
.
She is the most self-less person I know.
One time when I went to visit and she had about 3 roses in a vase.  I commented on how beautiful they were.  She told me her church had given her a dozen roses for Mothers Day.  I asked where the rest of the roses were.  She began to tell me of all of the old, sick people that she had visited after leaving church, she had been to the nursing home to visit a friend, to the house of another elderly friend, to two of her elderly neighbors homes.  She gave each of the friends she visited one or two roses and she was left with only a few.

Brady's Room

Brady's room is still a work in process, but it is getting close.
I'm planning to put B-R-A-D-Y above the bed.

Mom made the crib skirt.  My friend Kristina painted these two pictures.
.

Kris painted this picture too..
I'd like to put one of these to the left of the rocking chair with a white lamp on it and a brown fuzzy rug to put in the middle of the floor.

I painted the below picture.

And hang these airplanes up, either as a mobile or just from the ceiling.

4 Month Check-Up

Brady had his 4 month check-up yesterday.  It was a little chaotic because we took Eamon with us.

Brady weighs 13 lbs, 11 oz (he probably weighs about 1/2 lb less than this.  He had a huge poop a couple of hours after his weigh-in - I'm told that the poop went up to his armpits!!)

He is 25 1/2 inches long.

At the same age, Eamon was 2 lbs heavier and 2 inches longer.  Brady was a month early, so he should only be 3 months old.

Brady continues to be a happy baby.  Someone asked me yesterday if he ever cried.  Yes, he does cry.  He can get pretty upset too.  He likes to be held and loves to eat!  He is smiling all the time and talking too.  He has his hands clasped together like he is praying most of the time.  He can roll from his back onto his side.  We noticed that he is spending more and more time watching Eamon.
