Eamon Standing in his Crib

Eamon can stand up while holding onto something. (He can't pull himself up yet, so you have to stand him up) You have to be careful though, he'll let go at any moment. Here are some pictures of him in his crib.

Did you know?

Here are some other things that I've learned about Eamon in the last 5 months that you may or may not know:

1. He doesn't enjoy the car. He used to just cry/scream in the car, but it seems he is getting better. Lately it has just been squeals and coughs!
2. His favorite song is B-I-N-G-O. How do I know that you ask? Well, when he is screaming in the car, it is the only thing that makes him stop.
3. He has to be swaddled up to sleep. How do you swaddle a 16 lb baby you ask? Simple, with one of these. Here is a picture of him in his swaddler a few months ago. During the day he sleeps best in his swing or snuggled up on top of someone. At night he sleeps in his Amby Baby Hammock right next to my side of the bed. He still wakes up a few times during the night to eat.
4. He loves bathtime. He loves to kick his feet and make the water splash. But if you give him a toy, he puts it in his mouth and stops kicking. Seems he can't do both at the same time.
5. He loves being outside!
6. He's also a very sweet baby!

And some other random things:

1. Eamon isn't in daycare. During the day, he is either with Aunt Jen, Mama Marie or Ed. This has worked out great!
2. We haven't started Eamon on solids yet, we will probably do that in the next few weeks. He is still breastfeeding and that is going great.
3. We just moved up to size 3 diapers. Not sure how much he weighs right now. He has a drs appt in a few weeks. I'll let you know then.
4. He's wearing 6-9 month clothes. He can still fit into some 3-6 months, but I'm sure I'll be packing those up shortly.
5. I started back to school this semester. I'm working on a masters degree in education. I'm only taking one class right now, but plan to take 2 in the fall.

Anyone else have anything to add?

Jumpy Seat

Eamon loves his jumpy seat.

He will spend minutes (in baby world, that's a long time) jumping up and down.

Right now he's in the door to the computer room bouncing, smiling and watching me.

Auntie Rae came to visit

My big boy!

Eamon & I went to Target this weekend to buy diapers. Well, we moved up to the 3's. Now going from 1's to 2's didn't seem like a big jump, they are both called "swaddlers" and look the same. Now the 3's are called "cruisers" and aren't as cute as the swaddlers. I know, diapers, cute? Just another sign that my baby is growing up! By the way he's also wearing 6-9 month clothes now. Now notice I didn't talk about moving from the Newborn size to a 1, well, Eamon was never in a newborn size!!!

He is still a little wobbly and sometimes he falls, but he is doing great!

5 Months Old

Eamon turned 5 months old yesterday. Here he is playing in his exersaucer.

He really likes to eat the toys.

Baby vs Dog

Sparky hasn't really paid too much attention to Eamon until he started rolling. I guess she thinks he is ready to play with her. First she got on the blanket with him and started rolling and then she got down in a position as if saying, "hey, come play with me kid."

Roly Poly

So here is the proof of Eamon rolling.

The one bad thing... he doesn't enjoy being on his tummy for too long and he hasn't figured out how to roll back over (even though he has done it before). So he gets to his tummy and is fine for a few minutes and starts fussing. In the mornings when I shower, I lay him on the floor and turn on the TV for him to watch, this morning he rolled himself over and fussed the whole time I was in the shower.

Oh, and he only rolls one way.

We have a roller

Over a month ago Eamon rolled over for the first time from his tummy to his back. He rolled twice on that day and not again until 2 weeks ago when he rolled two more times from his tummy to his back.

Well...yesterday Eamon was with mom and he rolled over 9 times from his back to his tummy!!! I had class last night so by the time I picked him up he was already asleep. But we did get to see him roll over some this morning! I'll try to get some pictures and post them tonight or tomorrow.
