Not wanting to deal with the traffic of getting downtown to see the big fireworks, we decided to stay home and set some off in front of the house. It was a nasty rainy day, but there was enough of a break in the rain to shoot off the fireworks.
Although after this experience, I think that the hassle with the traffic would be much better than the fireworks shooting towards us (our neighbor had a stray firework that came a few feet from Brady and there were some that Daddy shot that did not go the intended direction.)
