Playing at the Park

A few weeks ago Eamon had been sick so he couldn't go to school. I stayed home with him for the day, but he wasn't acting sick, so we went to the park.

Eamon enjoyed picking up the pebbles...
and throwing them in the lake (pond?)

After playing, we had a picnic.

My Obsessive Compulsive/ Entertaining Child

Eamon did this all by himself.

In case you were wondering what we do for entertainment...... we watch Eamon

Eamon's 2nd Birthday Party

Eamon had a great 2nd Birthday Party.
A Firetruck topped the cupcake stand (no he didn't eat his cupcake this year either).

Lots of Eamon's friends came to play. (well, Rowan came to eat)
The kids (and adults) played music.

Aunt Jen, the Birthday Fairy, was the master of ceremonies.

Story telling.

Parachute fun

Eating

And present opening

Eamon's friends helped him open his presents.

MamaMarie & Aunt Kim were very happy to be there.
More help opening presents.

The chocolate Edgars cake for the adults.

A very happy Uncle Ely.

All this partying wore out Uncle Alan.
Eamon and Savannah played on in the ball pit.

Uh Oh

Today Ed patched the living room walls, preparing to paint. When he got Eamon home from school this afternoon Eamon walked in, started pointing at the walls and saying "uh oh!"

Jammy Time

"Jammy Time" always comes after bath time and there is a little song we sing, "Jammy Time, woo woo, Jammy Time" Ok, so maybe it's more of a chant. Eamon knows the Jammy Time chant and will chant it after bath time. Well, this morning I went to get him dressed and he told me noooo, Jammy Time. So, Eamon went to school today in his jammies (yes they were footy pjs and he had tennis shoes on too.) I sent clothes in case he wanted to or agreed to change . So we'll see what he is wearing when I pick him up today.

All lined up

Ed is working tonight and I had class so my parents watched Eamon until I could pick him up. When I got there this happened:

Eamon pulls two of his (child sized) chairs into the hallway in the dining room and sets them side by side and looks at me and points to one and tells me to "sit down" Then he looks at my dad, points at the other chair and says "Papa sit down" Just then my mom walks by and looks at us like we are a bit strange, meanwhile Eamon is pulling a chair out of the living room and set it next to mine and looks at my mom and points at the chair and says "sit down" He then goes and gets the last chair and sets it next to my dad's and sits in it himself. Ely walks down stairs and Eamon pulls a regular sized dining room chair next to his and tells Ely to sit down. So the 5 of us are sitting down in a row, just then Eamon sees Sparky and says "Pa-E" and starts running to get her (we are thinking he is going to try to put her in a chair too) Ely stops Eamon from getting to Sparky. Eamon then comes back and proceeds to go down the line talking to all of us, addressing us by name. I'm not sure what this was about. But I wanted to write this down to remember it. Too bad we didn't have a picture of all of us lined up.

Update: I spoke with Eamon's teacher this morning about this and she says that they line up the chairs and ask the children to sit down when they are eating and doing activities. So seems he was "playing school" with us.

Baby Kathleen

Eamon's cousin Kathleen was born a few days before Christmas, so when we were in town for Christmas we got to meet her.

A very sleepy dad.
