By the way, we are making our own baby food right now. It's actually VERY easy! With the bananas and avacado, you just have to mush them up and add water. With the sweet potato, but bake it and then mush it up. You can freeze it in ice cube trays and transfer to freezer bags to store and one cube is a perfect sized serving.
Eamon likes to sit backwards in his high chair
Eamon usually has to have a bath after dinner because he is covered in food.Last week our cousins came to visit. Eamon got to play with them every day.

"Hey, Look at my teeth!"
When the first tooth came in, Eamon was making all sorts of funny faces. We think he must have been trying to figure out what that strange thing was in his mouth.
As you can see from these pictures, Eamon is a very happy boy! He smiles whenever you talk to him! When we take him out to restaurants, he sits in the high chair and looks around and smiles at all the people around us.
Sleep, sleep sleep!!!
Last week when we went to the Dr, we talked to him about Eamon getting up 2 to 3 times during the night and he gave us some information about getting him to sleep through the night and going to sleep on his own. Then on Sunday at church, I ran into a friend from high school's mom and she told me about what her daughter did to get her baby to sleep through the night. It was the same thing the Dr had said, so we decided to try it out. Now, don't think I'm a horrible person for doing this, but I am SOOOO sleep deprived that something had to be done. You are supposed to put him in his crib tired, but not asleep and leave the room. You then go check on him every 5 minutes, put the passie in his mouth, rub his back, pat his butt, tell him everything is OK, but don't pick him up. Then you leave again and go back every 5 minutes until he is asleep. Mom helped us get this started yesterday. She put him in his crib and he cried for about 30 minutes and then finally went to sleep. Last night we did this when he went to bed. He only cried for about 20 minutes and then he finally fell asleep. He woke up around 1:00 and I listened to him on the monitor. He was playing with the toy in his crib. He "talked" for a little while. Fussed for just a minute or so, but never cried. Then he went back to sleep. He woke up again at about 4:30. I fed him and then he went back to sleep for 2 more hours. This was great for the first night. So mom did this again for naps today and I just put him down to bed. I only had to go in and check on him once. This will help him learn how to put himself to sleep and when he wakes during the night he can go right back to sleep and not need to nurse to go to sleep. I am so proud of him for doing so well last night, and I hope that he does just as good tonight. It has been hard for mom, Ed and me listening to him cry (scream sometimes) when he is trying to go to sleep, but this is what we believe is best for him and us. So he is now sleeping in his room, in his crib unswaddled.
Sorry this was such a long one and sorry for my ramblings. Hope everyone has a great week!
